The United States government responded to 9/11 with what became known as “The War on Terror,” a united global opposition to oppose terrorism at legal, political, military and ideological levels. It included the invasion of Afghanistan, home to the Taliban. Congress passed the Homeland Security Act of 2002 which created the United States Department of Homeland Security and resulted in the largest restructuring of the government in US history. The USA Patriot Act was also passed to help detect and prosecute terrorism. And in November 2002, the National Commission Terrorism Attacks Upon The United States was formed.
my opinion
my thoughts on this are that many things took place for this to happen. they all fell in to place sadly. the whole mission was planned very well to hurt many people, many innocent people. it was a day that you wont forget at all I feel bad for the families who had to go through losing loved ones or even being scared of losing them. it was a terriost attack led by Osama ben laden he was a know terror to many countries we lucky killed him a while ago though. this attack is horrible and is the reason were in war with Iraq etc. so we could possibly prevent this from happening again. but I really haven't looked into it enough to have a good and strong opinion

Theorists claimed that American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 — the planes that struck the North and South towers of the World Trade Center complex in New York City — wouldn’t have been able to produce enough heat to melt the steel beams of the buildings. They claimed that some other weapon, most likely a planned explosion or military grade missile was used, which resulted in the collapse of the towers.
the holes in the towers don't look right
The American Airlines Flight 77 left behind two 75-foot and 12-foot holes in the Pentagon building but theorists claim that there was no way that a 125-foot jet made such small dents, giving rise to concerns that some debris from the crash site may be missing. This led to speculation of cover-ups.
